The Faux Security Cameras from Hammacher are banking on acting as a deterrent in order to prevent would-be burglars from ransacking your home while you're away. To add to the authenticity, each Faux Security Camera comes with a blinking red LED which is powered by AA batteries and a fake video cable. Of course, it would be better if the camera could pan from side to side once in a while to bring up the burglar-scare factor a notch. Unfortunately, each of these fake cameras retail for $60, so instead of buying a few fake ones to surround your home, why not use that money and pick up a working security system?
